Someone Great – A Netflix movie review by Jeremy Fortunato
Dumped by her long-term boyfriend, a music journalist recruits her two best friends for one last outrageous adventure in New York City before she moves to San Francisco.
Someone great is about 3 friends who unite to make something greater out of their busy, schedule-induced lives. The film employees a wonderful youthful bunch, who all play a significant role in the plot. Famous actor “Gina Rodriquez” best known as ‘Jane’ from The CW satirical romantic dramedy series Jane the Virgin, is a very playful beautiful young lady and seems to bring positivity wherever she goes. Living in NYC as a writer, Jenny, her character gets a new job opportunity but has to leave to San Francisco to do so. In efforts to fuel their friendship and community, her and her friends who already are full on stoners, as well as clubbers take what seems like a molly and go on a trip together. Throughout the movie Jenny has many flashbacks of her ex and her, which range from in bed pillow talking to their breakup to piggyback riding each other, no pun intended😈.
All in all it’s a good movie for the positive vibers that like to watch other people’s good trips and reminisce of their nostalgic filled trips. One thing I could say is it’s relatable and the actors seem real and relatable. If you’re a guy who wants to learn some modern day romance culture and want to tell your game up for the Summer this is a good film for you to invest some thought into.
However for the film critics that like lots of material over content, leave this for your kids, buddy.
